Abim Thomas is a Partner in the Litigation Department of Goodwin Procter LLP, where her practice focuses on white collar crime, government investigations, and gaming. Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Ms. Thomas served as Deputy Chief Legal Counsel to Governor Deval Patrick. Prior to working for Governor Patrick, she was a litigation associate at Ropes & Gray LLP. Ms. Thomas graduated from Harvard College where she was a Psychology major and served as Class Marshal to her graduating class. She earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. In addition, Ms. Thomas has served as both the Executive Vice President and as Director of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. Abim is a member of the Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services, as well as, the Supreme Judicial Court’s Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers Oversight Committee.
