The BLG hosts a number of programs each year. One of those programs is the BLG Summer Internship Program in which we place college students of color at several of our member law firms for a 10-week summer internship. This pipeline program consists of a support position within the firm and includes interactive events designed by the BLG to expose the students to the legal profession. In addition to participating in these events, the summer interns will also be participating in a Mock Trial. They will gain valuable hands on legal experience with the judicial system, legal process, and courtroom procedure.

Please consider participating as a Mock Trial team coach this year. This summer’s Mock Trial will take place on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Northeastern University School of Law. We are in need of four volunteer coaches (two for each team). As a team coach, you would help the interns define their roles and guide them in getting ready for the trial. Our recommendation would be for the coaches to meet with the interns at different points before the trial for about an hour or so and to also be present on the trial day.

Please let us hear from you by emailing in order for us to confirm the mock trial coach assignments as soon as possible. If you are not able to coach, please let us know of other attorneys who may be interested. We will fill the spots as first come first served.

Thank you very much for your continued support of the BLG.
